Aberdeen window-breaker looking for place to stay
Monday, August 29, 2011
ABERDEEN, Wash. (AP) -- A man who threw a brick through the front window of an Aberdeen radio station Monday morning told police he did it because he just wanted a place to stay. He now has a place -- in jail.
Chief Bob Torgerson told KBKW that officers are not seeing an increase in people who want to use the jail as housing, but police are seeing more people suffering from mental illness.
The brick landed a foot from a woman in the office, but no one was hurt.
