Body found in Columbia ID’d as Camas WA man



VANCOUVER, Wash. (AP) — A body recovered from the Columbia River has been identified as that of a 45-year-old Camas, Wash., man.

The Columbian reports ( that Carl Lacour jumped off a boat near Jantzen Beach and presumably drowned Aug. 21. A Hayden Island resident spotted his body last Thursday and Portland Fire & Rescue crews recovered it.

The Multnomah County, Ore., medical examiner’s office identified the body and says drowning was the cause of death.
