Wagner, Frederick look to anchor No. 11 Wisconsin

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Wisconsin’s offensive line helped the Badgers bully opponents all the way to the Rose Bowl last season with two contrasting personalities anchoring the unit — John Moffitt and Gabe Carimi.

Both are now in the NFL. No. 11 Wisconsin has reloaded by moving quiet Ricky Wagner across the line to left tackle and adding in gregarious left guard Travis Frederick, who redshirted last year.

Neither says they can replace Moffitt or Carimi after the two helped open the path for three 900-yard running backs last season, but the entire line is coming together after an injury-filled camp.

They’ll get their first test on Thursday, when the Badgers face UNLV at Camp Randall Stadium.
