ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (AP) — Undrafted rookie linebacker Brad Jefferson has been released by the Buffalo Bills as the team made its final cut to reach the NFL’s 80-player roster limit.

The move was announced in a press release prior to practice Tuesday, two days before Buffalo hosts Detroit in its preseason finale. The Bills had signed the Georgia Tech product prior to the start of training camp.

Buffalo has until Saturday to make its final cuts to set its 53-player roster prior to opening its regular season at Kansas City on Sept. 11.

The Bills also announced that the preseason game against Detroit has not sold out and will be blacked out on local television. Buffalo’s other home preseason game, against Jacksonville on Saturday, was also blacked out.
