Coast Guard helps rescue 8 from boat near Everett

EVERETT, Wash. (AP) -- The Coast Guard says it responded Wednesday night to help rescue eight people off a disabled boat on the Snohomish River east of Everett, Wash.
The agency tells KOMO-TV (http://bit.ly/nYtuV3) that the occupants of the 44-foot boat got into a dinghy after their vessel began taking on water near Langus Riverfront Park.
Additional details were not immediately available.
