ISSAQUAH, Wash. (AP) — Costco Wholesale Corp. says its CEO Jim Sinegal (CINNA-gal) plans to step down effective Jan. 1.
The warehouse club chain says its board has elected the company’s current president and chief operating officer, Craig Jelinek, to take over the top job on that date.
Sinegal will remain with Costco through January 2013, serving in an advisory role and assisting Jelinek in the transition. He will also continue to serve on the board of directors.
