Reports of an unattended bag led to closure of the baggage claim area at Portland International Airport for nearly three hours Thursday.
The closure included the busy lower roadway outside the baggage claim area.
The closure began about 10:30 a.m. after Port of Portland police found a suspicious bag in the baggage claim area.
The bag was searched and the owner of the bag was later found.
The area was reopened about 1:30 p.m., according to a news release from the port, which owns and operates PDX.
Travelers were able to detour through other areas of the airport during the closure.
