DETROIT (AP) -- Ohio defensive lineman Corey Hasting has been ejected from the Mid-American Conference championship game after officials said he threw a punch.

Hasting was involved in a pileup as Ohio was recovering a Northern Illinois fumble early in the third quarter on Friday night. Ohio led 20-0 at the time.

Hasting, a 6-foot-1, 260-pound junior, entered with 41 tackles and 212 sacks. The Bobcats shut down Chandler Harnish and Northern Illinois in the first half, holding the Huskies to 92 total yards.
