Elston Turner’s 17 leads No. 25 Texas A&M over SFA

COLLEGE STATION, Texas (AP) — Elston Turner scored 17 points and No. 25 Texas A&M beat Stephen F. Austin 55-42 Saturday night for its 65th straight nonconference home victory.

Ray Turner added 12 points as the Aggies (6-1) won their fourth in a row overall.

After shooting 0 for 17 on 3-pointers in their previous win over Alcorn State, the Aggies did better this time in going 4 of 12.

Texas A&M led 26-15 at halftime and was never threatened after that. The Aggies won despite failing to score more than 60 points for the fifth straight game.

Jereal Scott led the Lumberjacks (3-3) with 12 points.
