New Mexico cruises past Missouri State 76-60

ALBUQUERUQUE, N.M. (AP) — Kendall Williams scored a season-high 19 points to lead New Mexico to a 76-60 victory over Missouri State on Saturday night in the Mountain West-Missouri Valley Challenge.

Demetrius Walker came off the bench to add a season-high 16 points for the Lobos (6-2).

Jarmar Gulley led the Bears (4-2) with 17 points, including 15 in the second half.

New Mexico led the whole way after opening with a 23-4 run that included five 3-pointers. The Lobos took their largest lead at 59-39 on a layup from Jamal Fenton midway through the second half.

Missouri State’s Kyle Weems, who finished with 11 points, hit a 3-pointer with about 3 minutes left to cut the deficit to 67-56, but the Bears could get no closer.
