LOS ANGELES (AP) — The Texas-UCLA basketball game at the Los Angeles Sports Arena is being delayed after a power surge cut the lights.

Texas’ Alexis Wangmene was at the free throw line with 3:59 to go in the first half when the lights went out at the aging arena where the Bruins are playing their home games this season while Pauley Pavilion undergoes a major renovation.

After a couple minutes, some of the overhead lights came back on, with the arena announcer blaming a power surge for the outage. He told the crowd that it would take 10 minutes for the old-style lights to fully come back on.

While the lights re-powered, the teams shot free throws and the UCLA band played “All of the Lights” by Kanye West.
