MOREHEAD, Ky. (AP) — Marsell Holden had 20 points to lead four double-figure scorers for Morehead State as the Eagles cruised past Mid-Continent University, an NAIA school, 83-57 on Sunday.

Angelo Warner had 14 points, while both Milton Chavis and Ty Proffitt added 13 apiece for the Eagles (4-5). Of Morehead State’s four wins, three have come against non-Division I teams.

The game was close for nearly the entire first half, as Mid-Continent held a 29-25 advantage after Maurice Bynum’s 3-pointer with 3:12 left until halftime.

But Kahlil Owens grabbed an offensive rebound and laid it in to spark a 14-0 run into the locker room for Morehead State. The Eagles led the rest of the way, outscoring the Cougars 44-28 in the second half.

Bynum led the Cougars, who counted the game as an exhibition, with 15 points.
