Pats’ McCourty active for 1st time in 3 games

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (AP) — Cornerback Devin McCourty is active for the New England Patriots for the first time in three weeks.

McCourty, who made the Pro Bowl as a rookie last season, had been sidelined with a shoulder injury. Starting safety Patrick Chung is inactive Sunday against the Indianapolis Colts, missing his fourth consecutive game with a foot injury.

For the Colts, tight end Dallas Clark misses his third straight game with a left leg injury

Also inactive for the Colts are quarterback Peyton Manning, cornerback Kevin Thomas, tight end Brody Eldridge, defensive linemen Jerry Hughes and Drake Nevis and fullback Ryan Mahaffey

The inactive Patriots include linebackers Brandon Spikes and Dane Fletcher, center Dan Connolly, tackle Sebastian Vollmer, running back Shane Vereen and quarterback Ryan Mallett.
