Hot-shooting Wisconsin-Milwaukee tops DePaul 87-76

ROSEMONT, Ill. (AP) — Kaylon Williams scored 21 points and Wisconsin-Milwaukee got off to a fast start on the way to an 87-76 victory over DePaul on Monday night.

The Panthers (8-1) shot more than 80 percent from the floor and hit four straight 3-pointers to open a 35-13 lead just 10:30 into the game.

Tony Meier scored 20 points, Paris Gulley 19 and Ryan Allen 11 as Wisconsin-Milwaukee shot 61.7 percent (29 for 47) for the game.

Cleveland Melvin scored 27 points for the Blue Demons (4-3) and topped 500 points for his two-year career. Brandon Young added 20 for DePaul, which shot 32 for 64 (50 percent) from the field.

The Blue Demons have lost 11 straight at Allstate Arena, dating back to last year.
