SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) — The Spokane County medical examiner’s office says a 42-year-old Deer Park mother of five who was found dead in her home was strangled.
Sheriff’s detectives had been investigating Chanin Starbuck’s death as a homicide even before the autopsy results were announced Tuesday.

No one has been arrested.
Deputies found the woman’s body after a 911 call about uncollected mail and packages at the home.
Starbuck is recently divorced. Her children range in age from 10 to 21.
