LAS VEGAS (AP) — Jesse Wright finished first in saddle bronc riding for the third consecutive round on Monday at the National Finals Rodeo.

Wright, of Milford, Utah, scored a 90 on Chugwater Blue in the fifth round. If he can win a fourth straight round on Tuesday, Wright would tie Billy Etbauer’s record, set in 2005.

Wright’s brother, Cody, took over first place in the world standings with $175,777 after finishing second with an 87.5 on Spring Planting.

In barrel racing, Carlee Pierce won round five in an arena record time of 13.46. J.W. Harris won his second straight bull riding round with a 90.5 on Zombie Zoo, and Kaycee Feild, who won the first three rounds in bareback riding, placed second in round five behind first-place finisher Ryan Gray.
