SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) — Minnesota Wild goalie Josh Harding left Tuesday night’s game against the San Jose Sharks with an apparent neck injury 11 seconds after allowing a goal in the first minute of the game.

Harding was hit in the face by his teammate, defenseman Nick Schultz, who was trying to block Sharks forward Joe Pavelski from the net.

Harding went down immediately and was helped off the ice after several minutes.

Matt Hackett, making his NHL debut, replaced Harding. Hackett is the nephew of former Sharks goalie Jeff Hackett.
