SEATTLE (AP) — A protection order has been lifted against the father of a 2-year-old boy who disappeared in Bellevue, clearing the way for him to regain custody of his 4-year-old daughter.
The girl has been in state foster care since Sky Metalwala (Metal-WALLA) went missing Nov. 6, after his mother said she left him alone in a car to walk to a gas station.
Solomon Metalwala and Julia Biryukova (BEER-you-kova) have been fighting for custody of their children during a year-long divorce battle. The protection order was filed against Solomon Metalwala before Sky went missing.
Bellevue police say they have conducted an intensive investigation and search for Sky. They have said they don’t believe the mother’s story.
