Providence moving medical billing jobs to Spokane

SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) -- Providence Health & Services is moving 250 medical billing jobs from Renton to Spokane.
The Spokesman-Review reports (http://is.gd/XhpctU ) the workers will manage insurance and medical records and patient referrals.
Providence Health Care operates Sacred Heart Medical Center and Holy Family Hospital in Spokane. It's one of the region's largest employers.
The new jobs come as Providence attempts to trim hospital staff in Spokane to balance next year's budget.
