Pearson Field’s manager is holding an open house Wednesday to get feedback from the public as he updates the airport’s master plan and layout plan.

The focus will be to solicit information from the airport’s neighbors, the larger community, local businesses, schools and aviators.

The open house will be from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Dec. 14 at Pearson Air Museum, 1115 East Fifth St.

The airport is operated by the city of Vancouver, which owns 61.8 acres of the 134.4-acre airport site. The remaining 72.6 acres are owned by the National Park Service and are within the Vancouver National Historic Reserve. Pearson Field is the only airport in the U.S. that operates totally within the boundaries of a national historic reserve.
