Three bodies were recovered from the charred remains of a Washougal home that was involved in a fire and standoff on Wednesday, police said.
Investigators with the Clark County Medical Examiner’s Office and Dr. Kathy Taylor of the King County Medical Examiner’s Office concluded the remains belonged to Leona Bolton-Stanbary, Mona Daughrty and Steven Stanbary, Washougal Police Chief Ron Mitchell said in a release.
The two victims, Mona and Leona died of gunshot wounds before the home was burned to the ground.
“The cause of death for Steven Stanbary has yet to be determined,” Mitchell said.
