Power was restored to 308 homes in the Hockinson and Proebstel area early Wednesday after they lost electricity Tuesday night, officials said.

A utility pole went down about 8 p.m. Tuesday, potentially after it was hit by a car, said Erica Erland, spokeswoman for Clark Public Utilities.

The outage, which affected the area around Northeast 74th to 107th streets and 188th to 231st avenues, was completely repaired around 2:10 a.m., Erland said.

She said the job was complicated because eight strands or spans of power line needed to be repaired. Crews initially estimated power would be restored around 5 a.m. Wednesday.

People can call 360-992-8000 to report outages or check on updates. The line is automated but always monitored by an employee.

In more urgent cases, customers can call 360-992-3000 to speak with an employee 24/7.
