Felida — The Blessed Piecemakers, a quilting group that meets weekly at Felida Baptist Church, recently finished sewing 100 doll quilts to donate to Neighbors Helping Neighbors, a food bank in Ridgefield. At Christmastime, the food bank prepares boxes of food and gifts for the needy. The boxes may include children’s quilts, pillowcases and toys. The doll quilts may be used to wrap small stuffed toys; very young children use them as security blankets.
