Prairie 56, Fort Vancouver 52 — Ryan Denny made 7 of 8 free throws in the fourth quarter as the Falcons held off the Trappers in the Class 3A GSHL opener for each team.

Fort Vancouver built an 11-point lead in the second quarter, but Prairie closed within two on a layup by Andy Hak before halftime.

Denny finished with a team-high 13 points for Prairie, while Reece Burnett and JaMariay McDonald scored 11 apiece.

Mario Eyler led Fort Vancouver with 20 points.
