Quinton Whitfield was perfect for the Fort Vancouver Trappers on Friday night.
Well, at least his shooting touch from the floor.
Whitfield went 9 for 9 and finished with a game-high 23 points to lead the Trappers to their first 3A GSHL victory of the season. Whitfield also grabbed seven rebounds.
Matthew Delisle made three 3-pointers and finished with 19 points. Mario Eyler added 10 points with six assists.
Trent Johnson was 7 for 9 from the floor and scored 19 points for the Papermakers.
Canas held a five-point lead after the first quarter, but the Trappers outscored the Papermakers in each of the final three periods.
