Letter: Make the protesters pay

The Columbian
Published: December 18, 2011, 4:00pm

Civilization as we have known it is over. When you let anarchy reign in the streets without consequence to the protesters’ actions, it gives the anarchists free rein to do as they please. They fear no punishment as we have seen recently in Portland.

The cost to citizens is overwhelming. The solution is to take pictures of each anarchist, get names and addresses and send each a bill for the cost of repair and cleanup. Put them in jail until they pay their fair share.

They really don’t care about the average citizen. They are self-centered and out of control. Let them pay for their rejection of the rules of society.
