Amboy — Rotha Whiting was a big winner in the North Clark Historical Museum quilt raffle on Nov. 12. Her ticket was drawn from among 1,900 tickets. Veteran James Courtney won another quilt that incorporates military patterns. His ticket was chosen in a special drawing for the 22 veterans in attendance at the museum event. Veterans and their families — along with 15 local organizations who provide volunteer services to the community — were also honored. In addition, 15 art contest winners from Yacolt Primary and Green Mountain Schools received awards and cash prizes from sponsoring organizations during the event. The winning entries will be displayed throughout the year at the museum. Other activities included the presentation of the colors by Boy Scout Troop 349, music, door-prize drawings and a pie auction.
