Area basketball scoring leaders update

River's Smith and Mountain View's Holboke lead

Columbia River’s Isaiah Smith continues to lead area boys basketball players by averaging 23.6 points a game. Heritage’s Timmy Hergert is just five total points behind, averaging 23.1 points a game.

Also averaging better than 20 points a game are Jordan Chatman of Union (22.0) and Zach Torson of Mountain View (20.4).

On the girls side, Mountain View’s Carly Holkboke is the clear leader at 22.7 points a game, almost three points a game better than Stevenson’s Jen Rathgeber (19.8) and more than six points a game better than the No. 3 scorer, Union’s Jessica Chatman (16.4).
