Vancouver — The closure of a Vancouver paint store will eliminate one of Clark County’s collection sites for unwanted paints and related products, county officials announced.

The Rodda Paint and Decor store at 1205 N.E. 95th St. will close Dec. 30, according to the county. The store was a participating location for the county’s Paint Take-Back Program, which allows residents to drop off paints, thinners and other hazardous waste for safe disposal.

Five other locations will continue to offer the free service. Participating stores accept up to 25 gallons of paints and thinners per household per day, in containers no larger than five gallons. Leaking, damaged or unlabeled containers are not accepted.

More information about proper waste disposal is available at http://www.recyclinga-z.com.
