Bragg leads Clark College in tourney opener

Austin Bragg had 37 points, 13 rebounds and two assits in about 23 minutes of play to lift the Clark College men’s basketball team to 102-73 with over Olympic of Bremerton Tuesday in the opening round of the Clark Holiday Tournament.

Clark (9-0) will face North Seattle at 8 p.m. Wednesday in a semifinal. Snow College of Utah meets Centralia in the other semifinal at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the O’Connell Center.

“We’ve got big players who can run, shoot, score and defend,” Clark coach Mike Arnold said. “We don’t dip (in height) a lot in our lineup, and that will give people trouble.”

Bragg converted 15 of 18 field goal attempts, including 3 for 3 from 3-point range.

“He was just on fire tonight,” Arnold said of Bragg.

Lucas Swanson added 15 points and Dominique Giles had 12 as the Penguins held a 55-23 rebound advantage.
