Chattanooga routs Longwood 85-50

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (AP) — Omar Wattad scored 18 points and Keegan Bell grabbed 16 rebounds to lead Chattanooga in an 85-50 rout over Longwood on Thursday night.

Ricky Taylor, Jahmal Burroughs, Zaccheus Mason and Bell, who averaged 6.9 assists per game coming in, finished with 10 points each for the Mocs (5-8) in a Dr. Pepper Classic game.

Drazen Zlovaric tallied 10 rebounds for Chattanooga, which won the battle of the boards 51-27.

The Lancers (4-9) shot just 25 percent from the field (15 of 60), and trailed by just two, 32-30, at halftime.

Antwan Carter led Longwood with 15 points. David Robinson chipped in 13 points and Tristan Carey 12 for the Lancers.

Longwood shot just 25 percent from the field (15 of 60), with more than half of its attempts coming from behind the arc. The Lancers made just 7 of 35 3-pointers.
