PESHAWAR, Pakistan (AP) — Police say a bomb has killed two people and wounded 10 others in the northwestern Pakistani city of Peshawar.

Peshawar police chief Liaquat Ali Khan says Wednesday’s blast occurred in a commercial area on the outskirts of Peshawar. The explosion destroyed a vehicle and badly damaged a nearby shop. Authorities are still investigating the exact nature of the blast.

No group has claimed responsibility for the bombing, but Peshawar has been repeatedly attacked by the Pakistani Taliban. The city is located on the edge of Pakistan’s tribal area, the main sanctuary for the militant group.

A pair of bombings targeting police on the outskirts of Peshawar on Monday killed five people, including a senior police officer.
