The Battle Ground Chamber of Commerce honored winners of the 2010 Recognition of the Year awards at its banquet last week.
The annual banquet was held Friday at the Heathman Lodge in Vancouver and recognized community members for their personal contributions.
Mayor Mike Ciraulo presented the finalists with a city pin and certificate of recognition. Winners received plaques.
Here are the winners:
• Citizen of the Year: Jill Kurtz, recognized for her work with several nonprofit organizations.
• Business Person of the Year: Wayne Rivers of Wayne Rivers, CPA.
• Business of the Year: Battle Ground Village.
• Service Person of the Year: Capt. Ryan Berg of Clark County Fire & Rescue.
• Teacher of the Year: Katie Reed of Pleasant Valley Primary School.
• Coach of the Year: Jeremy Barr of Clark County Youth Football.
