SNOQUALMIE PASS, Wash. (AP) — The avalanche danger is a concern for searchers looking for a backcountry skier in the Red Mountain area near Snoqualmie Pass.

KIRO-TV reports warming temperatures Thursday could weaken slopes as the search resumes.

The King County sheriff’s office says the missing Seattle woman apparently went skiing alone. Another skier found her backpack and glove Wednesday, and her car was left in a ski parking area near Interstate 90.

A search, including a King County helicopter, was suspended at night.
