PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — Two people convicted in a drug-deal robbery and shooting death of a buyer were sentenced to prison Wednesday in Portland.
The Oregonian reports 41-year-old Reuben James Webb was sentenced to life in prison. He pleaded guilty in Multnomah County Circuit Court to aggravated murder. And 27-year-old Shalina Marie Rickerd was sentenced to more than seven years in prison after pleading no contest to robbery.
Deputy District Attorney Chris Mascal says Webb shot a 21-year-old, Kawela “Jake” Kaluna, in his car in Gresham in March after he had handed over money for oxycodone.
