Boston University defeats Stony Brook 62-49

STONY BROOK, N.Y. (AP) — Darryl Partin scored 19 points and Boston University won on the road for the second time in 12 games this season, beating Stony Brook 62-49 on Friday night.

The Terriers (12-13, 7-4 America East Conference) used an 18-4 run early in the second half to grab their biggest lead of the game at 44-29. Patrick Hazel capped the rally with a dunk at the 12:24 mark.

The Seawolves cut the lead to five points, but the Terriers went on a 10-2 run to put the game out of reach at 60-47 with 43 seconds remaining.

John Holland added 17 points, including making 9 of 10 from the free-throw line, for the Terriers and Hazel had 12. The Terriers were 14 of 16 from the foul line and shot 57.1 percent (12 of 21) from the field in the second half.

Bryan Dougher scored 17 points for the Seawolves (9-13, 4-6), who had a two-game winning streak snapped.
