DOVER, Del. (AP) — Casey Walker scored 24 points and Marques Oliver added 15 points and 11 rebounds as Delaware State defeated Norfolk State 91-83 on Monday night.
The Hornets (9-13, 5-5 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) made 15 of 28 from 3-point range (53.6 percent) and overcame a solid shooting effort by the Spartans.
Norfolk State (7-15, 5-5) shot 55.4 percent from the floor (31 of 56), posted a 37-19 rebounding advantage and outscored the Hornets 46-22 in the paint.
But the Spartans committed 17 turnovers, leading to 25 points for Delaware State, which turned it over just four times.
