Touch of fame delays Vancouver man’s divorce

VANCOUVER, Wash. (AP) — A Vancouver, Wash., man who won nearly $52,000 more than a year ago on “Wheel of Fortune” hasn’t seen any of the money.

It’s tied up in escrow while Scott Dole and his wife go through divorce.

The Columbian reports Carrie Dole wants half the money, even though she filed for divorce before the show. The dispute has prolonged the divorce by more than a year.

The question is whether the money is community property to be split or Scott Dole’s sole property to keep.

The divorce trial is scheduled for May 2 in Clark County Superior Court.
