ROTTERDAM, Netherlands (AP) — Ivan Ljubicic has reached the semifinals of the ABN World Tennis Tournament after beating Marcos Baghdatis 6-4, 6-7 (6), 7-6 (4).

The seventh-seeded Ljubicic will next play Jo-Wilfried Tsonga on Saturday. Tsonga advanced without hitting a ball when fourth-seeded Tomas Berdych withdrew because of flu symptoms.

Ljubicic had made it to the semis for the fourth time in his career. On Friday, he squandered a match point after costly mistakes in the second-set tiebreaker. He comfortably won the third-set tiebreaker.

Top-seeded Robin Soderling was playing Mikhail Youzhny, and Viktor Troicki was facing Marin Cilic in the evening quarterfinals.
