A second crash in roughly the same location of state Highway 503 this morning likely triggered a sense of deja vu for Washington State Patrol Trooper Steve Robley. The state patrol issued bulletins on both wrecks.

A 17-year-old girl was traveling southbound at about 7:15 a.m. on the highway, about five miles north of Battle Ground, when she lost control of her Volvo and slammed into a ditch embankment. Shortly before 10 a.m., a 35-year-old woman in the same area lost control of her Ford SUV, rolled multiple times and came to rest blocking the southbound lane.

Hannah M. Barber was transported following the first of two single-vehicle wrecks to Legacy Salmon Creek to be checked out for back pain. The wheels of Barber’s Volvo slipped onto the right shoulder and she lost control of the vehicle and struck the embankment. She was cited for driving with her wheels off the roadway.

Later, Lisa M. Bradstreet, 35, overcorrected her Ford Expedition and lost control after her rear right tire left the roadway. She was transported to Southwest Washington Medical Center with injuries to her neck, back and leg. She was cited on suspicion of second-degree negligent driving.
