HELENA, Mont. (AP) — Amtrak says an unruly passenger who was removed from a train in northwestern Montana later made a threat that led to the train’s evacuation.

Nothing dangerous was found and 150 passengers endured an 11-hour delay, arriving in Whitefish on Tuesday morning.

Spokesman Marc Magliari says 24-year-old Hussein Abdi Hassan was removed from the train in Browning on Monday night. He says the Minnesota man “somehow threatened the safety of the train” while being questioned.

The train stopped between Browning and East Glacier, and its passengers were taken to a middle school in Browning.

The Great Falls Tribune reports Hassan has pleaded not guilty to two charges of felony criminal endangerment and a misdemeanor count of disorderly conduct. His bail was set at $100,000.
