OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — Big 12 baseball coaches have picked Oklahoma to win the conference title this season.

Last year, the Sooners won 50 games and made their first College World Series appearance since 1995. It’s the first time OU has been selected as the top pick in the preseason poll.

The Sooners received six of the possible 10 first-place votes while defending Big 12 regular-season champion Texas got the other four.

Texas A&M and Baylor are third and fourth, followed by Kansas State, Oklahoma State and Texas Tech. Nebraska, Kansas and Missouri round out the poll.

The season starts Friday, with all 10 league teams in action.
