ALBANY, Ore. (AP) — A Linn County Circuit Court judge has sentenced former Lebanon City Council member and Oregon National Guard recruiter Tim Fox to 20 months in prison followed by five months in the county jail.

Fox was convicted last fall on six charges of sexual abuse, coercion and private indecency. The Albany Democrat-Herald says he was sentenced Wednesday by Judge Daniel Murphy, who also ruled against Fox receiving a new trial. Fox had argued that some potential witnesses did not learn of the trial until the case had been turned over to the jury.

Fox was accused of inappropriately touching or making inappropriate comments to women between 2008 and 2010.
