DETROIT (AP) — Ray McCallum flirted with a triple-double Wednesday night in leading Detroit to a 91-79 victory over Youngstown State.

McCallum had 14 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists for the Titans (15-14, 9-8 Horizon League), who won their regular-season home finale.

Nick Minnerath hit three 3-pointers and led Detroit with 24 points. Chase Simon scored 17, Chris Blake 15 and Eli Holman 14.

The Penguins (8-18, 2-14), winless on the road and 1-9 in their last 10 games, got 25 points, 11 rebounds and five blocks from Damian Eargle. Kendrick Perry scored 13 and Blake Allen 11.

Detroit broke a 20-20 tie with a 10-1 spurt bookended by baskets from Holman. That gave the Titans a 30-21 lead with 9:16 left in the first half, which they extended to 48-31 at intermission.

The lead peaked at 23 in the second half, and the closest Youngstown State got was nine.
