Georgia cruises to 69-51 win over No. 19 Kentucky

ATHENS, Ga. (AP) — Meredith Mitchell scored 16 points and Georgia rolled past No. 19 Kentucky 69-51 on Thursday night to remain in second place in the Southeastern Conference.

Georgia (20-6, 10-3) kept its lead in double figures over cold-shooting Kentucky through the second half. The Wildcats came no closer than 13 points after the break.

Porsha Phillips had 14 points and 16 rebounds and Jasmine James also had 14 points as each Georgia starter scored in double figures. Jasmine Hassell had 13 points and 11 rebounds and Khaalidah Miller had 10 points.

Kentucky (19-7, 8-5) has lost three of four.

Kentucky senior Victoria Dunlap, the SEC’s leading scorer, had 14 points and 11 rebounds. Bernisha Pinkett scored 12 points.
