Brown ends Princeton 10-game winning streak 75-65

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) — Peter Sullivan scored 26 points and Brown beat Princeton 75-65 on Saturday to end the Tigers’ 10-game winning streak.

The Bears were 25 of 27 from the free throw line and Sullivan made all 16 of his attempts.

It was the most points allowed in a non-overtime game by Princeton since giving up 97 to Duke in the second game of the season. The Tigers gave up an average of 53 points in their previous five contests.

Princeton’s only lead was at 45-44 midway through the second half. The Bears (10-14, 3-7 Ivy League) broke open the game with a 13-2 run that gave them a 71-57 lead with 1:01 remaining.

Sean McGonagill added 16 points and Garrett Leffelman had 11 for the Bears, who beat Princeton for the third time in the past 10 games in the series.

Kareem Maddox scored 19 points and Ian Hummer had a double-double with 18 points and 12 rebounds for the Tigers (20-5, 8-1).
