CLEARWATER, Fla. (AP) — For all those people predicting the Philadelphia Phillies will win the World Series, the players quickly point out there’s a long way to go until October.

To be exact, Game 1 of the World Series is 242 days away. Everyone is picking the Phillies to be there, even the manager of the defending World Series champion San Francisco Giants.

The Phillies have been prohibitive favorites since the day they added Cliff Lee to an already elite starting rotation.

The four-time NL East champions held their first full squad workout of spring training on Saturday. They realize expectations are high. Anything less than a World Series title will be considered a failure in Philadelphia.
