EUGENE, Ore. (AP) — Jay-R Strowbridge scored a career-high 26 points and streaking Oregon hit a season-best 13 3-pointers to defeat Oregon State 82-63 Saturday and continue its ascent up the Pac-10 Conference standings.

Joevan Catron and E.J. Singler added 13 points apiece for Oregon (14-12, 7-7 Pac-10), which opened the season 0-4 in conference play. The Ducks have won seven of their last 10 games and are now in fourth place, behind No. 12 Arizona, UCLA and Washington.

Lathan Wallace had 17 points off the bench for the Beavers (9-16, 4-10), who have lost four straight games.

Strowbridge, who hit a career-high six 3-pointers on nine attempts, sparked a second-half run that put the game out of reach.

After Oregon State pulled within 48-39 at the 14:06 mark, Strowbridge hit 3-pointers on three straight Oregon possessions to spark a run of six straight 3s by the Ducks that put them up 66-46 with 8:46 to play.
