PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — The Census Bureau says it will release details Wednesday about Oregon’s population, which now numbers 3.8 million.

The information from the 2010 census is going to the Legislature and the governor’s office for use in redrawing legislative and congressional districts.

In December, the Census Bureau released statewide data showing Oregon gained 12 percent in population in the last 10 years, most of the growth coming in the first half of the decade.

The data the bureau expects to make public about noon Wednesday will include population figures for subdivisions such as cities, counties and school districts.
