DETROIT (AP) — Red Wings forward Patrick Eaves has left the game against the San Jose Sharks because of an undisclosed lower body injury.
Eaves appeared to hurt his right knee on Tuesday night when he led with it on a check against Torrey Mitchell midway through the second period. Eaves got up slowly, tried to keep weight off his right leg as he skated slowly off the ice and gingerly limped toward the dressing room.
He has 13 goals and 19 points in 52 games for Detroit.
